【英语游记作文大学】Last summer, I had the opportunity to visit a university in the United States. It was my first time going abroad, and I was both excited and nervous. The trip was part of an exchange program organized by my school, which allowed students to experience life at a foreign university and improve their English skills.
The university I visited was located in a small town in the Midwest. It had a beautiful campus with large green spaces, modern buildings, and a strong sense of community. As soon as I arrived, I was impressed by how friendly and welcoming the students were. They showed me around the campus, introduced me to their classes, and even invited me to join them for lunch in the cafeteria.
One of the most interesting parts of the trip was attending a lecture on American history. The professor spoke passionately about the country's past and encouraged students to think critically about historical events. I found it fascinating to see how different the teaching style was from what I was used to in China. In China, teachers often give long lectures, while in the U.S., there is more emphasis on discussion and participation.
I also had the chance to visit some of the university’s libraries and laboratories. The facilities were very advanced, and it was clear that the university invested a lot in research and innovation. I was especially impressed by the science lab, where students were working on various projects related to environmental protection and technology.
In addition to academic activities, I participated in several social events. One evening, I joined a group of students for a picnic in the park. We talked about our lives, shared stories, and even played some games. It was a great way to make new friends and learn more about American culture.
Although the trip was short, it was a valuable experience. I not only improved my English but also gained a deeper understanding of university life in another country. I learned that studying abroad is not just about academics, but also about personal growth and cultural exchange.
This trip made me realize how important it is to step out of one’s comfort zone and explore new places. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit the university and will always remember the memories I made during that time.
